Today's brief video takes me back to my old school fitness roots, but delivers a powerful lesson.
You see, far too many people fall prey to 'shiny object syndrome' or chase instant gratification. They are never content (see yesterday's blog post) to take some time and really master the stage they are at.
The reason I chose a fitness video for this lesson is that the fitness industry is notorious for this kind of behaviour. Ego lifting runs rampant, especially since the proliferation of the online fitness coach uploading videos left, right, and centre!
Watch the video and you'll see me bench press 25kg dumbbells but use a resistance band to enable me to get more 'practice' at the same weight, with added difficulty, making a slight shift to the overall benefit of the movement.
